NY Forum is an independent and non-profit umbrella group, uniting a network of youth organisations from the ethnic nationalities of Burma.

Founded in 2003 and based on the Thai-Burma border, NY Forum has thirteen member groups from eleven different nationalities.  Please visit the links on the left to learn more about each of them.

Through trainings, internships, research and initiatives on human rights, capacity-building, indigenous issues, pro-democracy and empowerment, as well as inter-generational knowledge-sharing within communities, NY Forum promotes recognition, equality, national reconciliation and solidarity amongst the ethnic peoples of Burma.

NY Forum strives to build a genuine, peaceful federalism in Burma and to establish mutual understanding among ethnic nationality youth.
